When you have an allergic reaction to specific foods it could be as simple as an uncomfortable feeling ranging up to a life-threatening situation. The symptoms we go over below should arise after you eat the food and can range anywhere from just a few short minutes up to a couple hours later. The most common symptoms that one will get after eating a food their body is allergic to are as follows:
Swollen lips, face, throat, tongue, and other parts of the body
Nasal congestion, difficulty breathing, wheezing
Feeling lightheartedness, fainting, or dizziness
Diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, or pain in the abdomen
Eczema, burning, itching, or skin irritations caused by hives
The mouth may begin to tingle or itch
These above a common symptoms that people usually have after eating a suspecting food. The more serious life-threatening reactions are grouped into a category referred to as Anaphylaxis. This category includes the following symptoms in patients:
Loss of consciousness
Rapid heat beat
Severe drop in their blood pressure
Their throat may become swollen making it difficult to breath easily
Tightening or constriction of their airways
